Marcus did not always have the passion for cooking. He wanted to be an inventor. Inventing things in the kitchen became a necessity when his dad wanted to starve him as a teenager(not really). Making up new foods out of survival led him to culinary school in Pittsburgh, PA. After graduating and doing an externship at the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC he went on to work for Marriott hotels. Most recently as the Sous Chef at the Metro Center Marriott in DC. The different view he has on food and the sarcastic environment that groomed him has culminated in “Your Food Looks Funny” being his latest food invention.
